Forgot I had posted here, sorry lol. That's the same pump that's in my rv for the water system. Very reliable and simple but you're right I don't believe they would tolerate much trash. These are the ones we use at work http://www.wildenpump.com/go/industries/oil-and-gas two diaphragms about 8" in diameter one on each side. I've seen a company the made one that didn't require air, it operated on a walking beam principle driven by a small gas engine.
