I recently discovered the o-ring gasket on my water pump was seeping. That had me for awhile. Easy to do. Entire surface of seal area was nasty. It would drink a pint of A/F a month.
Cleaned and replaced o-ring and haven't used any in months.

Thanks BLR.
My water pump is new...twice in the past 6 months & seems all dry.

Since there's really no way to see the bot tty om of the thermostat housing on the truck I pulled it today & changed the inner gasket along with a touch of red silicone on both sides of the engine lift bracket. Already changed the outer when I changed the thermostat.
I cant say it was leaking but the gasket was cracking and brittle, but no cracks all the way thru.
We'll know tomorrow.

Nope, still leaking.
Looks like the head gasket for sure.

Not uncommon as you know, not a bad job to do either. An engine hoist is real handy to lift the head in and out fyi.
