Goodmorningdieselram...
Woke to the pitter patter of little raindrops. Good chances all day. Temp ROSE 2 deg overnight from 70 at bedtime to 72 at alarm time.
Guess I'll stay home & cook and research my weak rear brakes.
Clunk, my cuz always says the Mack dealer is the cheapest place to buy batteries & they come with either studs or posts. About $80 iirc.. but, the nearest one is 60 mi.
I've bought lots of batteries from Sam Walton over the years & always thought they were a little cheap, but...bought a pair from napa, and 2 from oreilly with near identical results, 3-4 years max. Like many things, they dont make em like they use to. AND, what happened to 5-6 YEAR batteries?? No prorated warranty anymore. 2 or 3 year free replacement if they croak and after that it's all you..
Sales person at wmt told me all the batteries of a group size are the same whether value, plus, or maxx, you just pay for more warranty.
Both the everstart plus' s in the 09 had to be replaced. 3 1/2 years old.

Cloudy 60's with rain.
Had the annual check-up. BP is ok, heart & lungs sound ok, whizzed in a cup, got a flu shot and got blood drawn. Will get results in a few days. Went to the tool discount place twice and grocery once.
With the rain, I doubt I'll be truck driving tomorrow except for maybe some tire changes.
Still thinking about discount stud batteries. How about sealing the screw-on posts with epoxy?
My local turbo man Jeff is out of business....built me some good ones.

My 2012 f150 had the original Motorcraft battery in it until this spring, I swapped it out for an Odyssey battery when I installed my winch, The battery is still under my work bench on a battery tender, I plan to use it to power my invisible dog fence next year at camp.

Good morning DR, mid 60s to low 70s and rain, getting fairly well soaked really. Been chasing an electrical problem for over 2 years, previous owner chased it I don't know how long....only breaks in the air, never at the same temps or altitude......this one tried my patience. Fixed it yesterday. Chafed wires in a wire bundle, problem is wasn't anything to chafe on Been stumped one time in 20+ years, this one came close, very close. My batteries lasted 7 years or so, might put a Battery Tender on the truck for the winter, pre-heat for 2 hours in the morning, especially below 20*.....coffee is ready, better get movin.

Rain & 60'sF.
No dumptruckin' so got batteries for Cornbread Red, a haircut, and hung out with the company mechanic. The sun peeked out through the clouds for about 30 minutes and I thought I was going to get to ride the bike but a dark cloud bank appeared and deposited rain in the area.
