Really? They are supposed to rest on the bump stops? I'll post pictures tomorrow, but I believe these are in bad shape. The right spring has a defined kink in the main spring halfway between the axle mount and the shackle end of the spring.

If they turn out to not be bad they are free for the taking, lol

Well the rear main seal has been replaced along with the leaf springs/shocks. 8 miles into my test drive and I destroyed a deer. Luckily for me she put her head down at the last second which kept from any body damage to the truck. They sure don't make them like this anymore. I hit a smaller one in my old '05 F250 and it destroyed the bumper and headlight assembly.

Didn't get any pics, it was too dark. I do have one hell of a shake in the front end now though. I'm thinking that damn deer did some front end damage (king pins/wheel bearings perhaps ???). I get a bit of a clunk when pushing inward on the top of the front tires. I also have a bad vibration at low speed acceleration.

It's been a good while since I've posted here, so I decided I'd drop in to update this thread. Truck is running as good as ever and I've got a lot done since last update.

Bed has been replaced with a non rusty unit
New Windshield
New window rubber, and door gaskets
Entire cab interior has been coated in line-x

Will be having exterior pieces sprayed soon.
