Default Aisin issues

2017 3500 DRW 4x4 Aisin with 4.10 rear.
Took my truck in for warranty on the ABS system. Service writer tells me “ did you know you have a transmission leak?” Nope, didn’t know. Says the leak is from the vent on the case.
I can’t find anything on Aisin transmission leaks. What say you, any ideas?

Only issues I'm aware of are overheating/ high trans temps. Thermostatic bypass valve stuck closed, has the trans been hot? By definition a vent is open to the atmosphere, hot fluid expands and could be interpreted as a leak. My next truck is going to be an auto, gonna take that thing of right away.

Just now finding out about the bypass valve. Truck has never been used in an overload condition. When the issue occurred we had pulled our few about a mile to the camp site. Everything was normal. They’ll find it I’m sure.

A few AS68 have had case cracks on top of the transmission passengers side.

As for the bypass I have those blocks in stock for a fraction.

Good deal, might need one real soon trying not to sell the '06, it's too much fun to drive.

Looks like a needed part. Just need to get it back from the dealer. They replaced the pump and now can’t get it to shift right.
