This is funny, I was going to post something up on these tires today.

Went to the mountains today, dirt roads, steep inclines and snow...2wd the whole time.

I had these on my 3rd gen, and now this truck. For me, as long as I own a truck and live in this state, Nitto TG will be on this truck.

HEY CHRIS, how are you?

I now have the Michelin LTX 285/70R17's and I'm very unhappy. They are load range D. I have 38,000 miles on them and they're almost down to the ware bars. In your opinion am I looking for more than the tires can offer? I don't really tow anything other then my 2 place snowmobile trailer with two 4 wheelers. I was thinking the load range E in the TERRA GRAPPLER. In a word, I'm looking for a good traction tire in rain and snow. And something that will last at least 55 to 60,000 miles.

Thanks in advance,

Anthony

You are not going to get the mileage out of the Nitto tires your looking to get. 50k is pushing it. However, the traction is second to none. I would rather a tire work for 50k than have a tire not do well for 60k.

Very well put, that makes a lot of sense. I keep forgetting these trucks weigh 7,000 lbs plus. That alone puts the ware on the tires. Thank you Chris

I don't really tow anything to speak of. What would be the best TERRA GRAPPLER LOAD RANGE D, OR E I feel the side wall is the biggest difference. Will the D range give less mileage than the E range. I need some input please, thanks in advance. What will give better traction in rain and snow. Or are they the same, I don't care what NITTO say. I need consumer input
