Well it seems I had not switched the fuel relay after all . Don't know how I overlooked it but it has been switched now . Thought that was it , but it happened again . Out of frustration I swapped all relays again , checked any fuse I thought might even remotely be associated with fuel system . Reached down and checked that the wires were plugged together and tight and what do you know it started again . I don't think doing the relays again had anything to do with it and I am leaning toward the wires or plug connection at the fuel pump .That might explain why the pump wouldn`t run and pressure up but I don`t know how it would associate with the very rough running when it wouldn`t pressure up . When it has pressure it runs smooth .

Well it is definitely something to do with the wires . Every time it happens I reach down and wiggle the wires and it starts and runs just fine . I have unwrapped the wires to look for a break , scrape , or bare spot and found nothing .The plug connection seems tight but it was wet inside the plug with diesel I think ( will have to find where that is coming from next ) so I dried it off and reconnected it . I don`t know what else to do unless maybe replace the plug connection itself if I could find one . Any thoughts anyone ?
