Default I think the starter is Pooched

Charged up both batteries and load tested...both OK.
Used a clamp on Amp meter that is good for 1000 DC amps.
Started the truck, slow turning over. Amp Meter showed "OL" (Over Load).
Ordered new starter and will clean up and change out the heavy duty contacts.

Changing the starter fixed mine today. The old starter had badly worn brushes & commutator and pulled down my batteries severely.

The starter was changed out today. Left the original contacts in there, so as not to void the warranty.
The old starter had badly worn brushes. It was extremely dirty. I am surprised the truck even started.
Going to keep the old one, clean it up, put new brushed in it and heavy duty contacts. Leave it on the shelf for that rainy day.
