Default Alarm & keys

Since I locked my key in the truck at warley world this morning I decided it was time for a spare.
Lowes cut & programmed a new key that starts the truck, but if I unlock the door with the key the alarm goes off when I open it.
First time the alarm wouldn't shut off till I used the original key. I think 2nd time it stopped when I started the truck.
Gonna investigate some more, but some research revealed that there is no switch to disarm the alarm on the key cylinder.

This is the 09 and I've had the same happen with the 07 a time or 2 but didn't know why.

Anybody know anything else about it?

Does it have the "push the start button" ignition switch?

Alot of vehicles do that. Using your keyless entry is the only way around it. The truck doesn't know that the door is being unlocked with the key. My F150 will set the alarm off every time if its unlocked with the key.

Well that's just annoying...
So, if I push the lock knob down manually is the alarm still armed?
