On a 6.7 there is a bleed plug staring at you close to the exhaust manifold that you remove to properly fill the system. Should be a sticker that says Remove for Coolant Fill.

There are tons of posts about me talking about these pumps at nauseum. So long as you have good fuel 12 to 14 psi pressure at the pump and you have adequate cranking rpm and a good signal from both...

FWIW the old starter probably drew around 250 amps when it went out on you. Normal starter draw on these trucks are about 125amps anyway. :cool:
