Need a new HX35W for Bambi
Waste gate died PN 3539330 they are very expensive so looking to get a new turbo 3539343 for a 98.5 24V auto that wont cost me an arm and a leg. She has 310,000 and still strong. Any recommendations?

If the truck is stock then stock is the way to go imo.

The 24 valve autos came with HY35s. Usually among the first things that get upgraded. HX35s are common and you shouldn't have much trouble finding a decent used one. Parts are available to rebuild yours and it is easy to do. Instructions are available on Holset's web site.

When you say "wastegate died" what do you mean exactly?
Actuator fail? Gate stuck? Shaft broke??
The part number you gave is the actuator, which as Considerably less than a new trubo... probably under $100, and a pretty simple swap..?
